Planning Rides

This guide covers everything you need to know about planning and managing rides in Regroup.

  1. Navigate to Dashboard → Rides
  2. Click “Create Ride”
  3. Fill in the ride details
Field Description Required
Title Ride name (e.g., “Sunday Morning Loop”) Yes
Date & Time When the ride starts Yes
Meeting Point Start location with address Yes
Description Additional details No

Choose how to define the route:

  • Select existing — Pick from saved routes
  • Create new — Draw a new route
  • No route — For spontaneous rides
  • Audience selection — Choose “All Members” or restrict to specific groups
  • Max participants — Set a capacity limit
  • Recurring — Create weekly/monthly series
  • Exclude from rankings — Keep the ride casual and exclude it from club statistics

See who’s coming:

  • Going — Confirmed attendees
  • Maybe — Tentative responses
  • Total — Combined count

Access the full list:

  1. Open the ride
  2. Click the “Going” count
  3. View all participants with names

Rides automatically display:

  • Temperature forecast
  • Precipitation chance
  • Wind conditions

Send messages to participants:

  1. Open the ride
  2. Click “Announce”
  3. Write your message
  4. Choose notification method

To update ride details:

  1. Edit the ride
  2. Check “Notify participants”
  3. Save changes

To cancel:

  1. Open the ride
  2. Click “Cancel Ride”
  3. Optionally add a reason
  4. Confirm

All registered participants receive a notification.

Post-ride options:

  • Mark as completed — Confirm the ride happened
  • Log stats — Record actual distance/elevation
  • Add photos — Share ride memories
